Veteran’s House Canada

I'm not sure if many of you know that I am married to a Military Veteran. Thank you for your service and sacrifice to my husband and all those that served and are serving.

As a wife of a soldier this cause is one very important to me. Veterans' House Canada is helping homeless veterans find accomodations. The Andy Carswell Building is in Ottawa, it has housing for 40 veterans who are homeless or at risk. It's located on the site of the former CFB Rockcliffe Airbase. The units began occupying veterans in 2021. The building includes gathering places such as a gym, kitchen & dog park including training for service dogs. The ACB is not for profit.

The Perth Legion & Perth's Honour or Veterans Banner Program are currently putting together gifts to deliver to ACB before Christmas.

I feel very blessed to be a part of the fundraising campaign. For just $20 you can sponsor a gift for one of these veterans. You can sign a card and you are invited to include a personal message.

The goal is to brighten the spirits of our veterans to let them know we are thinking of them and to thank them for providing us with the freedoms we have today.
